I went to my Endocrinologist a few days ago and had quite the experience. As I was talking with my doctor she reviewed my papers and noticed that I was a sonographer. She asked if I was looking for work and I told her I was. I guess she liked me because she asked if I would want to work for them. Then she called me the next day to give me my test results and set up an interview with the CEO. I went to an interview this morning and saw three people, two nurses and one doctor. Everyone was so nice! First I saw the head nurse and she showed me the ultrasound machine. I played around with it for a little bit while we talked, it was a machine I hadn't used before, but they are all kind of alike. I told her that for the exams they wanted to perform, they would probably need a different probe. She said that getting equipment was never a problem and that they would get me whatever I thought would make it easier to do my job. She said with this company there was no red tape; they wanted things to be in good condition and their employees to be happy and well educated. If you want to go to a conference for continuing education they will not only pay for it, but if it is out of state they will fly you there! Can you believe it? She saw that I had a dance minor and commented on it. Then I saw the other nurse practitioner and we talked for a while about the expectations of the job. They would want me to travel to the different offices (all within an hour of my house) and they would want me to be in charge of making the worksheets and setting up the protocol. After the nurses I talked with one of the doctors. She asked me about my dance minor as well. She seemed excited about it, just like the nurse, so I asked why it was so surprising. Apparently they have a fitness program for their patients and they were looking for someone to teach dance. It wouldn't be very often but how fun!
This company is so amazing. They pride themselves on being a caring, comprehensive business and they do it well! I am so excited!! I don't have the job yet, I meet with the CEO next week, but hopefully I will soon!
Also, I got my papers in the mail today so I will be taking my OB/GYN test pretty soon. Yikes!
Not much is new with Tyler, its all school work and BYU games on TV or internet! Our church callings keep us pretty busy but we still manage to find time to play!
