Good to be Back

At last. After a long vacation for Christmas Tyler and I are back home safe and relatively sound. We had so much fun on our break. First we went to the BYU bowl game (my gift to Tyler for his birthday and Christmas) which was a blast but freezing! We weren't expecting cold weather, but it was there just the same! We bundled ourselves up in anything we could find in the back of our brother-in-law Ryan's SUV. The many layers weren't a problem until it came time to storm the field! The fleece blanket that I was wearing like a skirt flew off and into my hands so I could climb onto Tyler's shoulders and see the action. We killed Oregon 38 to 8, which made Tyler happy. This is us on the field.

The next morning we went to Arizona to celebrate the Christmas season with my family. As is tradition for me, we spent Christmas eve at my sister's house so we could watch the boys open presents in the morning. We had so much fun being with family, playing pool and just relaxing. Here are Tyler and I opening our pajama presents Christmas Eve at my sister's house. And after we saw that they were good!

After about a week in Arizona we flew to Los Angeles to visit our friends Lindsay and Nathan Roberts. Being at their apartment and spending some time with their friends next door made us homesick for college. It was so fun to be in a setting where everyone is so close and such good friends. I miss that. Then we realized that we have a house so we can sacrifice the closeness for some serious space! I got to go to a doctor's appointment with Lindsay who is very pregnant so that was fun for me. The did a very quick ultrasound to check the fluid and I got to double check that it was a boy, which I can now say for sure it is! Here is us with the Roberts.

After a few short days we came home. It was so good to be in our own bed again! It also made me realize that Tyler really is my best friend and how grateful I am for that. No matter where I go, he will always be the one taking me! It's nice to know that your favorite person will always be with you.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's and that you got to spend time with family and friends. It's good to be back!

Hi Allison, it's your old roommate Amber. I wanted to tell you that we are moving to Texas- or have moved to Texas. So I'll be a short 4 hours away from you. I don't have an email or phone number for you. My email is amariewilson26@yahoo.com. Hopefully we can get together when one of us is in eachother's neighborhood :)
