Hi, I'm new here

This Christmas we visited....EVERYONE. It has been quite a few weeks so here is a recap. Before we left Addy started doing a few new things. One is using her jumper. She loves it! It is so funny to watch her. Sometimes she'll hold both her legs up and let the jumper untwist- something we've come to call her 'signature move.' She cracks me up.
We opened a few Christmas gifts before we left. Here we are by our sad little tree that stands all of three and a half feet tall with about nine ornaments given to us from our old college ward enrichment (basically, women's classes on how to make more things to put in your house.) Merry Christmas, little tree. She also has been spending more and more time with her friend Collin. He's a pretty funny kid himself. Check out that hair! Here he is with his dad, our Guitar Hero, Brandon.
I went to Arizona about a week before Christmas. Adalyn did well on the flight, no thanks to the always helpful TSA employees who made me do unheard of things before I could come through security. No hard feelings. The first few days in Arizona Addy rolled over for the first time! Yea! She also talks a lot more now. She has slowed her discussions on the economy and the upcoming election, but continues this: (only watch the first 22seconds, the rest are really uninteresting! And, yes, I do feel like an idiot for making those noises but-hey, you do what works, right?)

Here is Adalyn with her cousin Mabel (of Haze and Natalie.) They matched for the Sunday before Christmas. Apparently Mabel was more excited about it than Addy.
On Christmas morning we got up early to the smell of a crackling fire and opened presents with all those we loved.....wait a minute- no we didn't- we got up early and got on a crowded smelly plane to go to Washington. All's well that ends well. Adalyn got to meet a whole lotta family when we went to Tyler's parent's house. The first impression, however, was just cold- not the family, the weather!

She seemed a little out of it and just hid behind her blanket until she warmed up a little. You can't blame her, really- she's just a baby.While we were there we went to an ol' home town hockey game. The noise was a little much for the baby. See how freaked out she looks? But we were fine, and that's what counts.

Her older cousins Bailey and Alex-the-first (of Darby and Richard) were excited to meet Addy and play with her. Well, really Bailey just wanted to hold her for about 2 minutes every other day but you can't ask for much more than that from kids.

When we got back home with our Washington acquired-blacklisted-Bumbo (they were recalled in Texas) Adalyn was so excited to catch up on a little CSI New York, notice Gary Sinise in the background and the enormous smile on Adalyn's face. Like mother, like daughter.
