Working is hard. I've been working 40 hours a week since September 2 and I am exhausted! On the plus side, I don't think I've ever slept better in my whole life! Other than that, life is good. Tyler really enjoys his job, Addy speaks Chinese and we have found a house we really like and are waiting to hear back from an offer we made. Our fingers are crossed, but the last house we made an offer on didn't go so well so we're not holding our collective breath.
I am really enjoying my job at Good Samaritan Medical Center. It is very challenging but I love the opportunity to grow in my skill. The people I work with are great and have been so helpful. Though it's great, it doesn't even compare to being a mom. I can't wait to be 'trained' so I can stay home with Addy again and just work the two days I had planned on.
Adalyn gets funnier every day. She speaks jibberish like she's dictating a novel. She's caught on to a lot of new things, too. She can fetch stuff- you know, like a dog, and bring it back to you or put it away if you tell her to. She does a fish face which is awesome and right when you get her bottle out she'll drop whatever she's doing and say, "bye" because she knows it's bed time! Man I love that little girl!
In other news, I begin teaching my class at Bernina Connection next week so that should be way fun! The class is called 'Connection After Dark' and it's for fun girls in their 20's or 30's who want to make way cute stuff and learn to sew! This time we are making a vintage-style apron, the one I made is at the store right now, but I'll post a picture of it later. It's going to be once a month on Friday nights at 6:30pm- 10pm or so. If anyone wants to come, let me know- it will be totally fun!
Well, that's life for now. I'll try to keep everyone updated on our situation (especially if we ever get a house!) and our little family. Love you all!!!

Allison,
Sounds like things are super busy for you! I really want to come to your sewing class! I think you need to post a picture of the apron that you made... Glad to hear the update!
Erika
oh she is so cute! I hope the house situation works out for you!
i totally remember our car-sickening drive lost in the mountains! :) i'm so glad we have pictures of us posing cluelessly to document the situation!
be sure to keep us posted on the house! hope it works out for you! can't wait to see pics of it.
i would love to come to your sewing class!! please please post pictures of what you do and instructions if you can, i obviously didn't learn enough from you in the 3 years i lived with you!!
yeah, I was thinking the same thing- why didn't I learn any of this when living with you? I still try to be with you in the kitchen, throwing spices here and there and WALA...yours always tasted fantastic and most of mine are duds. I am getting there though.
I hope the training ends soon, you are such a hard worker. Last night I was thinking back to your trip here over a year ago and how much I needed that at that time. You will never know how much my soul needed to see an old friend at that time.
Well look at me getting all weepy on a blog. Pathetic.
Ahhh! I miss my old roommates! I love you gals!
Cute picture. Is Addy typing on an eeePC? It looks tiny.
Allison- glad to hear things are going so well for you guys! I wish you luck on getting a house, I know how stressful that is! That is so fun you are teaching sewing- I was dying to learn until I found out that baby #2 is a BOY so I will have to keep to scrapbooking until its time to make all the fun girl stuff you can make!! I love these blogs to keep updated- I hope things slow down for you soon! Take care and I would love to hear from you sometime if you get a moment!

Wow, creative girl - you are keeping very busy! Hope this week you get to be home a little more often and glad you are finding an outlet for your creative juices. I wish I had gleaned a little more from you while you were here.
