Thanksgiving Trip

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We went to Arizona and were able to see my whole family- parents, brother, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins and both great grandmas! Addy did great on the flight (much to my relief) and we both adjusted to the time change quite nicely. OK, so there wasn't a lot to adjust to being as how it is only one hour, but still...kudos to us!! Here are some pictures to chronicle her adventures.

Her cousins were so excited to meet and play with her. Baker, Creighton, Ian and even Owen each wanted to hold her and spend some time with their new little baby cousin. She loved the attention! Here is Creighton, Angela's second oldest.
And Baker-man the oldest of my parents grandchildren. He is so great with babies and such a good older brother to the boys!
This is my Nano, Adalyn's Nano the Great! So far Addy still has blue eyes, just like her Nano the Great!
We were so lucky to have my dad's family come for the holiday as well. This is my Grandma Jo from Florida. My Aunt Patti and Uncle Greg came too, but just briefly because they had a play opening in California the day after Thanksgiving that they had to be back for.
While I was home my mom took me to Connection After Dark at the Bernina store where she works. I had such a good time sewing my bag that I didn't notice my baby's dirty diaper. Well, it only got dirtier! She had a minor blow out and since I had forgotten to bring extra clothes to the class- she went commando the rest of the night! I have to say...it didn't seem to bother her!
Here is one of my favorite people, my cousin Chelsea. Every summer when I was a teenager I would go to California and visit my Aunt Vicki (another fav!) and her family. Chelsea, Drew and I were always such good friends. Here they are (with an appearance by Chel's boyfriend, Cory Michael Sanchez) with Addy.

My most handsome cousin Drew. Drew is a super-awesome Marine. One of the elite ones that knows special top secret stuff about you and your mamma. Yeah, that's right- that's my cousin Drew.
This is my clever cousin Hannah. We were posing for some paparazzi that wouldn't seem to leave us alone. Give 'em what they want! That's what I always say! Hannah is hilarious and such a funny writer. I had a great time catching up with the recent UCLA grad. Congrats, again, Hannah!!!
Ahhh, the famous (or is it infamous?) vulken mind suck. This technique is a tradition in the Dinnell household. It renders the infant incapable of anything but a glossy blank stare, as noted below. My mom has mastered the art- I believe she also created it- and uses it on all unsuspecting babies in her path. See the joy in her face as she sucks Adalyn's thoughts away? Amazing.
It was so nice to have Tyler on the flight home. We traded off holding the baby so that the other could stretch and/or sleep. Once again, Addy was a champ. Just look at the fighter.
This is my favorite picture. Aren't they adorable? And they really like each other, too. It's fun being a wife and a mom. I truly couldn't ask for anything better. That's what I'm thankful for this year.

Looks like you had a great trip! I'm glad she was good on the airplane for you-NOTHING is worse than your crying baby that you can't console and people looking at you like they want to kick you off the plane right then and there....
Alex can't wait to meet Addy!(Neither can we). By the way, love the hair!

I love an Arizona Thanksgiving! I'm so jealous you all got to go home!!

One of these days when we are all visiting AZ at the same time we will have to get together, and catch up on old times....Tyler, guess who is in my parents ward? Elder Glade ex A.P. He has some great stories and mission gossip!

Cute pictures. Allison you are looking so fantastic! I'm glad Addy was a good girl on the flight. We have one coming up a week from today. Should be interesting considering Camilla CANNOT sit still during the 45 minutes of sacrament meeting...ugh.
