Love begins in the belly....

Some people don't fall in love until they're old. Some fall in love in High School or College. And some, the lucky ones, fall in love in the womb. Such was the case with Adalyn and Collin. While Addy was but a month old, Collin started taking a liking to her as he was finishing the fetal process and growing that hair we all know and love. He was born and they met only hours later. She wore her first big-girl shirt (not a onesie) for him- and he loved it. They started out slow, as all serious couples do. He would watch her from afar in the arms of his father who played Dance Dance Revolution until sun came up.
Sometimes he would invite Adalyn and her parents over so that they would all learn to get along for the upcoming in-law-ship. He had heard that melding families could be hard but was pleasantly surprised to see the parents play together in glowing harmony. It was after this favorable news that he first held her hand, if only so briefly. He didn't want pictures to rob his memory of the moment. He sat up first, always waiting, always encouraging her to join him. "Come, Adalyn, play with my giraffe!" we used to hear him call. And she did follow, only days later. They would go on vacations together- the pool, the playground, and finally their first date. Collin tried to comb his hair down, but he was so nervous that it stood straight up when Addy got in the car. She was in her favorite dress and more excited than he'd ever seen her.He left his hand out on the table, in case she wanted to hold it. She was embarrassed in front of all the parents, and that made Collin cry.But they made up, as all destined couples do. And though they are apart for a time, he in Texas, she in Phoenix, in their hearts they will always have the joy of true love that blossomed in the womb.To show the harmony, the two families all dressed alike.........every day.
