18 Months

I was doing an exercise video this morning and the lady started counting (you know, "hold it for 8-1,2,3,4...") and apparently my daughter can count to thirteen with the absence of 1-5 and 12, that is. I haven't tried to teach her this but there she was counting on her own up to thirteen! I told Tyler and he surmised that it is from all of the time-outs we give her where we count to 60 before she is let go to do the same thing she was just put in time-out for, like using cans as stepping stools to get to her snacks, for instance (see above). Anyways, I was so excited- she learned something useful and I didn't even have to teach her! Don't forget to pause the music at the bottom of the page.

She is 18 months now and every LDS parent knows what that means....NURSERY! I took her for the first time last week and she didn't even bat an eyelash when I left. I think she momentarily forgot who I was or why I was once important. She was made for nursery. She walked right up to the other kids and started playing with them. I love it!

This video is of her reading to Tyler.

There isn't much else going on around here. Tyler and I have organized another trip to France (to take students) and we are going to go back in the summer of 2010. It's well in advance, but we couldn't rush it this year. This time we are going to Venice, Florence and Paris. I am already so excited! I think I am more so than the kids! Oh, well.

This last video is for Leo. Tyler recorded it sideways, sorry. Here is Addy's favorite thing to do...

Her voice is so cute! Can't believe how old she is getting. Skylar was the same way with nursery, loves it! How are you guys? I want to see pics of your fab new home.

I am jealous because Sydney had a hard time with nursery. She was a wreck for the first two months! You are lucky. What a smarty and I'm cracking up at the picture where she is standing on a can to get to her treats. We need to get together again soon! I know you live further but we can meet in the middle maybe?

Hey! I was thinking when I got on the computer "I was supposed to reply to someone's comment..." and couldn't remember for like two days. haha. Then I was like, OH YEAH! That is how crazy life has been!

Our friends from Oklahoma are coming for a visit next week so I will have to call you. Wednesdays are always really good days for me so we should plan that day. Can you email me your number again?
