I am so tired of people in the government spending money like we have it (see the SNL video a post or two down!) I don't live my life that way and it infuriates me to watch our government officials doing something I find so ridiculous and destructive. I feel like for years we've done nothing but spend. I just read this article from the Wall Street Journal in between patients (I'm at work) and I got all steamed up so I had to vent somewhere.
Then I read this article from the New York Times that states, "Meanwhile, the Obama administration is considering spending taxpayer dollars to cut monthly payments for homeowners on the verge of foreclosure." Though I have a great love for the people of America- it is not my responsibility to pay their mortgage unless I so choose. Don't force my charity!!!!

Our last president got us into the largest national debt in history correct? I think every president spends... You know? But what do I know about it. Probly not much.
amen girl. i can hardly talk about it or read about it anymore.
and yes every president spends- especially bush, however obama just signed the largest bailout in US history and then turned around and told the press, " the american people need to learn to live within their means"

I see your point Amber... But we had to do something right? I just feel like there was nothing else to do! This bailout is supposed to create jobs. We will see.
