Hello Everyone!
We are in the process of packing our hospital bag for the "big day" and I thought I would see if any of you parents had advice for must have's in the hospital. Is there anything you were very glad you had? Or maybe something you brought that you found was useless? Think it over and let me know! Thanks!!!

hey....Allison, if you would like, I did up a whole list of stuff that I took for Linds when she had Beckett....I could try and remember and do one for you if you want....but it HAS been 9 months...so there are things I dont remember. BUT, one thing that my sister shared with me, is take a swimming suit for your spouse....because sometimes during labor you will want to get in the shower, and Tyler can go in and massage your back....so the nurses dont care about seeing you, but Tyler should wear a swim suit....We didnt use this, because I had to be on IV all the time, so I couldnt get up and around all that much...but you might need it. Also, if you dont have great insurance, they charge you for anything and everything you use, so take stuff....I took my own toothbrush and stuff....but I can totally make a list for you if you want, if not, then it is all good! Good luck! I stressed about this part so much!
DEODORANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would love to do that for you...I was going to just do it...but for some reason I cant find your e-mail address....so if you would send that to me, then I will shoot an e-mail off to you!!! You are so cute!
Definitely take the most comfy pj's you have and DON'T worry about underwear - they have the glorious mesh ones :). Eat a huge meal before you go (once you check in you're not allowed to eat at all) and don't bother with snacks unless they're for Tyler since they won't let you touch them. Take nice toiletry items so you don't have to use the "hotel" stuff, but don't worry about make-up! Other than that, just take as much as they'll give you: usually they have free samples of every kind of newborn diaper, diaper rash creams, breast feeding supplies, etc. We came home with two garbage bags full of stuff and it saved us a ton of moula! I hope all goes well and good luck!
I agree, take cute comfy pj's or workout clothes. It's SO much better than hanging out in the hospital gown. I brought my make-up, and put it on and it made me feel better and cuter after having a baby, maybe I am vain, hah! I brought my ipod with my favorite music, that was SO nice to have.
If I were there I would totally bring you CANDY!!! I remember when you came to visit us in the NICU and that CANDY saved me! It's amazing how you remember who comes to see you and who doesn't. I promise, I would love to come see you and little Addy, if only we lived in TX:)
